State: Washington Mercer Island, WA Good morning Seattle! I thought I was being all productive getting up at the crack of dawn to take some photos... little did I know that dawn wasn't until almost 8am. After a little over a week living in the rv, we were lucky to have our old neighbors and friends host us at their beautiful new home on Mercer Island. We were also lucky to share some yummy dinners, have great conversation and ooo... a shower where I didn't have to wear flip flops! (A side note: You know that fuzzy bath mat that keeps you from slipping on the tile floor as you step out of the steamy shower? That soft bath mat that makes the transition from the steamy warm shower to the colder expanse of the bathroom more bearable... oh, that's one of the things I miss most taking showers at the rv parks.) Check out the morning view from our friends' kitchen window! Wizards of the Coast Renton, WA The number one place on Jack's list for places he wanted to visit was the Wizards of the Coast corporate office just south of Seattle. Wizards of the Coast makes the card game Magic the Gathering. And if you know Jack, you know that's one of his most favorite things ever. See that guy below painted into the elevator? That's Jace Beleren - Jack dressed up as him for Halloween last year. They don't offer tours but they did give all of us swag bags with Magic the Gathering cards, coloring books and even a little figurine. Can you tell someone was super excited? This super tall game designer came out and answered all of Jack's questions. What a cool guy! Future of Flight Mukilteo, WA A couple summers ago we visited Seattle and one of the highlights was the Museum of Flight. Great place to take the kids! I had heard more good things about the Boeing Factory tour - you know, where they make those big ol' 747's. Well, you have to be four feet tall to go on the tour, so Emmett and I hung back and played in this big warehouse while Matt took the big kids on the tour. Kaylie wasn't a big fan, guess she had enough of plans after all the time we spent at the plane museum in McMinnville. Emmett gives this plane and all its switches a big thumbs up!
