State: Utah Where we stayed: Sand Hollow State Park We stayed one night in an rv park in Hurricane that got great reviews - it had the cleanest and newest bathrooms of any place we have stayed. It had a sparkly clean laundry room. It had flat pull-through sites with full hookups. There were even mature trees and a new clubhouse. It was a block away from McDonalds and the grocery store. We stayed there one night then decided to try something different. And we were all so glad we did. We decided staying in a state park was worth the extra ten minutes we added to our drives in to Zion and Walmart. We pulled right in to the new campground at Sand Hollow State Park, enjoyed the water/electric hook ups and awesome desert view. We were steps away from a clean bathroom and a colorful lake (don't get the two confused). Note: There was a warning that some bug/bacteria in the water (thankfull only during the warmer month) can cause severe itching. Matt took the kids fishing... ...but with water as tempting as this, fishing was soon forgotten. Meanwhile, Jack and I went for a bike ride around the lake. If you look really closely, you can see Jack and his bike on the levee.
